These are the last days of the roman empire and all anyone wants to do is get higher Feed fire And you’re lier If you think you don’t See shit Breathe smoke Not a ton to see In the way of authenticity You can’t afford complicity (can you?) And If you can’t shake this vacancy Then you seem to be the one to be Who can afford to think As the good ship sinks Chill out and sit Let’s make time to waste it You read the news right? Come talk, let’s pick a fight Take a political stance and pretend the expanse of your life isn’t determined by finance Hell, try to advance, but Fuck- This generation never stood a chance
2.
If you’re gone well it won’t be long So stay strong Lights on but nobody’s home Am I wrong? Well it’s still what she’s tryna kill It’s your will Keep going and it won’t be long Delve in the deep Dream out of sleep Rip out the blinds and let the strange flood in You’re just falling down ways As the moon changes phase In a maze Ain’t it strange we measure living in days There you go and you're starting to fry It’s a lie Keep going and it won’t be long Delve in the deep Dream out of sleep Cut up the blinds and let the strange flood in If you’re hoping your high speak won’t sound too contrived You’re just searching for feels inside these divides Well you're — Hoping your voice won’t seem too contrived You’re just stumbling through where your betters have lied You’re hoping you’ll learn to feel alive On earth to decay where your betters have died Delve in the deep Dream out of sleep Turn off the lights and let the strange flood in Delve in the deep Dream out of sleep As endless creeps Come, hear don’t speak Come look and see through the noiseless din Turn off the lights and let the strange flood in As we sit around and age where our betters have died Please keep in mind, it all passes in time
3.
Shouting voices in the car well you're getting it wrong It was some other song That said you could have it all Where they wrote that the girl on the beach could be everything And the roses you bring could lead to a ring, Well that kinda thing You coulda waited years To know that all your fears were confirmed (but) Could you have waited your whole life And loved her till you die Cuz you don’t wanna hafta cry 18 and you're trying to grow Still it seems so hard to let her go You're lacking in perception and direction, no perspective waiting around to grow cold How many times can you curb this vice Well once or twice still it feels too nice to think that you might be you again You coulda waited years To know that all your fears were confirmed (but) Could you have waited your whole life And loved her till you die Cuz you don’t wanna hafta cry

Good things are hard to come by And minds are made to lose In another life You smile and it’s all alright But, Good things are hard to come by And minds are made to lose Good things are made to go by and paths are hard to choose See you’ll never die It's the future, and we’re all alright See, you can never die It’s all so brief, But not for you And if all reality’s a technicality You can feel it all in high-fidelity Still, Bad things aren’t hard to come by and truths just seem to ooze With finite sunsets there's endless subsets, Of complex being The truth's still stinging It’s all so intense Life never relents You can look away Melt and smear the day Stare at your phone Like theres no one home Blindly stumbling through You’re just like them and they’re like you too
5.
I’m gonna live for today Cuz I gotta live with it later We start with the cleanest of slates Soon it’s too late. Growing pains I’m gonna live for today Cuz I gotta live with it later So look at the passage of time Did u waste your life? Colored signs I’ll - Melt into normality and Grow old with the kids As if momma said there’d be lives like this But she never did And I’d hate to admit That I'm not fine Technicolor lines To fade in an absent drive This a phase But never let me say Man - Those were the days

about

Gram Ash Nashville, Tennessee

In a small bedroom, somewhere in the suburbs of Nashville, armed with a laptop and surrounded by synths, guitars and a drum kit 20 year old Wyatt Whit crafts the musical ideas that become Gram Ash. The sounds you hear are recorded, mixed and mastered on a warm bed under a sunny window. These songs are created with the hope that some of that sun gets to you too.

~Much Love,

Wyatt
